| Our strong track record shows that retaking really does work.
Our One Year A-Level courses are designed for students who are retaking up to three subjects in a year. Alternatively, students may wish to study up to two subjects for the first time; common choices for this include Psychology, Economics, Business Studies and English Language. We offer 50 places to One Year students and demand for these places is high, particularly in the Sciences and Maths.
One Year students need dedicated UCAS support, and our UCAS / Careers advisors are experienced in getting the best possible offers for these students. Many are aiming for the competitive fields of Medicine, Dentistry and Veterinary Science, or other demanding courses at top universities.

For each subject, the entire GCSE specification is taught in two terms, with continuous assessment and reviews by tutors and the Head of Year. Reports and performance grades are sent home, so that parents and carers can be fully involved in students' progress.
There are also opportunities for students to take a new subject alongside retake subjects.
