How to find the College
Abbey College Manchester is situated in the heart of
Manchester city centre.
The College is within easy walking distance of the main public
transport stations. Driving to the college is fairly
straightforward but please note that we do not have any on-site car
parking facilities. However, there is street parking available and
there are several car parks within a few minutes walk of our front
door, the closest of which is at Kendals on Deansgate.

Accreditation
The College is inspected by the Independent Schools
Inspectorate and the British Accreditation Council (BAC) It
also holds Highly Trusted Status (HTS) with the United Kingdom
Border Agency (UKBA).
The College Day
Lessons start at 9.00 am. Most classes finish at 3.45pm or 4.30pm
but some do go on later. There are two fifteen-minute breaks and
a fifty minute lunch break.
Food
The College is fortunate to have a wide range of restaurants,
sandwich bars and other food outlets near to its premises. Students
are able to return to the College to eat their food in
the Common Room should they wish to do so.
Public transport
This is the easiest, most convenient way of travelling to the college and approximate walking times from the main transport interchanges are:
Train Piccadilly station, 10 minutes walk
Oxford Road station, 10 minutes walk
Victoria Station, 7 minutes walk
Deansgate station, 8 minutes walk
There are free Metrolink shuttle buses every 10 minutes from the above stations which have a dropping off point on King Street opposite the entrance to Cheapside where the college is located
Bus
Piccadilly Gardens bus station, 5 minutes walk
Shudehill bus interchange, 7 minutes walk
Tram
The closest tram stops are Mosley Street (4 minutes walk); Market Street (4 minutes) and St Peter's Square (4 minutes).
