The college is in the heart of Manchester city centre and is within easy walking distance of the main public transport stations. Driving to the college is fairly straightforward but please note that we do not have any on-site car parking facilities. However, there is street parking available and there are several car parks within a few minutes walk of our front door, the closest of which is at Kendals on Deansgate.

Public transport

This is the easiest, most convenient way of travelling to the college and approximate walking times from the main transport interchanges are:

Train Piccadilly station, 10 minutes walk
Oxford Road station, 10 minutes walk
Victoria Station, 7 minutes walk
Deansgate station, 8 minutes walk

There are free Metrolink shuttle buses every 10 minutes from the above stations which have a dropping off point on King Street opposite the entrance to Cheapside where the college is located

Bus

Piccadilly Gardens bus station, 5 minutes walk
Shudehill bus interchange, 7 minutes walk

Tram

The closest tram stops are Mosley Street (4 minutes walk); Market Street (4 minutes) and St Peter's Square (4 minutes).

Travelling by car

From the M62
Leave the M62 at Junction 12 and join the M602 for 4 miles. At the end of the motorway, join A57 Manchester, joining A57M after one mile. Leave at A5103 signs to Birmingham and M56, bear left and head towards the railway arches. Pass through the arches straight across the traffic lights towards Manchester Central (formerly GMEX). Turn left before you reach Manchester Central. Then turn first right onto Deansgate and continue until you reach Kendals car park on the left hand side. Walk up the pedestrainised part of King Street, cross over Cross Street and turn first left onto Cheapside in between Whistles and LloydsTSB Bank. The college is located here on the left hand side.

From the M56
At the motorway end, continue along the A5103 towards Manchester for five miles. Pass under the Mancunian fly-over (A57M), continue towards the railway arches and go straight across towards Manchester Central. Turn left before you reach car park at Manchester Central. Turn first right on to Deansgate and continue until you reach Kendals car park on the left hand side. Then refer to the instructions above. 

From the M67
At the end of the motorway, continue straight along the A57 for approximately four miles towards the city centre. At the roundabout (Apollo Theatre on left hand side), take second exit signposted Universities. When you reach Oxford Road, turn right and pass beneath the Mancunian Way (A57M). Go underneath the railway bridge by Oxford Road train station and turn left into Whitworth Street at the next set of traffic lights. Go straight on through two more sets of traffic lights. At the third set turn right on to Deansgate and continue until you reach the Kendals car park on the left hand side. Then refer to the instructions above.

From the A6
Follow the A6 main road from Stockport town centre for approximately 5 miles through Heaton Chapel, Levenshulme and Longsight. At the roundabout with the Apollo Theater on the right hand side take the first exit signposted Universities. Then follow the instructions From the M67 above.
