Lower Sixth Engineering ProjectA team of three students were entered to take part in this year's Engineering Education Scheme. This was a six month project working alongside a professional engineer to solve a real-world problem. The team worked with local engineering and building supplies company, NG Bailey, and Head of Physics, Simmone Hewett, to look at generating green energy in the college environment. Their project involved investing harnessing energy from students walking up our five flights of stairs. The scheme ended with a Celebration and Assessment Day at Liverpool University. They were runners-up out of twenty nine teams which was a superb achievement by the team.
