GCSE art is conducted as a one year course in which students produce two separate portfolio projects and a final project set by the exam board where they create their own personal response to the theme during a two day exam.

The projects set by the department incorporate photography, 2D and 3D work, textiles and digital media which are fresh and contemporary. We actively encourage our students to explore their topics in a way which will not only increase their overall knowledge and basic skills but give their projects an expressive, experimental feel which pushes the boundaries of their own expectations.

This is a double option for students doing art from scratch in the year. The exam board is AQA.
