Best Ever A-Level Results
A outstanding set of examination results have been achieved by our Class of 2016. The college is very proud of their accomplishments and they reflect the hard work, the dedication and effort of the staff and the love and support of parents and guardians – all of us working together to achieve success.
We have a strong track record of guiding our students to academic success and enabling them to successfully move onto university courses of their choice, and our excellent results reflect this.
We now extend to our new alumni our very best wishes as they go forward; the college is confident they will take with them the spirit of Abbey College Manchester and strive to make a difference in the world.

Wow!! Record breaking examination results from this year’s cohort are being celebrated by students, teachers and parents.
For the fifth year in succession the A-Level examination results have been fantastic. The results reflect the tremendous hard work of our students.
- 18% of examinations taken scored an A*Grade
- 43% of examinations taken scored an A* or A Grade
- 67% of examinations taken scored A* – B Grade
- 88% of examinations taken scored A* – C Grade
Our students have gained entry to a wide range of competitive university courses including Medical, Biological, Physical and Computer Sciences, Engineering and Maths, Humanities, Economics, Accounting and Business and Art & Design.
An excellent set of GCSE results have been gained this year which are above the national average.
Like last year, the GCSE results achieved by our students have been very good and are testament to all the hard work the teachers and students have put in over the last year.
Key findings from this year’s results are: 9% of examinations taken scored an A* Grade; 25% of examinations taken scored an A* or A Grade and 53% of examinations scored and A*, A or B Grade.
Some of our students will be continuing onto our Lower Sixth A-Level programme. We wish them all every success in the next two years with us.
