International Application Process

Thank you for your interest in applying to Abbey College Manchester. We appreciate your choice to apply, and we want to ensure a smooth application process. Please find the steps outlined below:

STEP 1: MAKING YOUR APPLICATION

Submit the application form along with the following supporting documents:

  •  Copy of current passport
  • Copy of most recent two years’ school report
  • Copy of any evidence of English (this can be IELTS certificate, GCSE English certificates)
  • Copy of your UK visa (if applicable)

The Admissions team will begin processing your application once the application form is received.

STEP 2: ENGLISH LANGUAGE ASSESSMENT

If you do not yet have an official proof of evidence of your English language level, the Admissions Team will issue an online English language test for you to take.

The English test will be done online and is normally valid for 2 weeks once it’s been set up so make sure you are ready to take the test when you apply.

Once you have completed the test within the 2 weeks deadline, the Admissions Team will check your score against our minimum entry requirement guide.

STEP 3: ACADEMIC INTERVIEW

If your language result meets the required level for your chosen programme, you will be sent an online link to book an academic interview with a senior member of the college. All students will be interviewed before any offer is made. If your language result doesn’t meet the required level, we might suggest alternative programmes to better suit your ability.

STEP 4: GETTING AN OFFER

A standard offer will be made within 2 working days of an interview taking place.

STEP 5: BOOK YOUR ACCOMMODATION

Upon receipt of the deposit, registration fees and the required acceptance form and contact form, your place will be confirmed and can proceed to book your accommodation at the college.

If you have any conditions attached to your offer, please satisfy the conditions at least 3 months before the start of the course to avoid delays.

STEP 6: START YOUR VISA APPLICATION

When all conditions of your offers are met, and your accommodation is also booked, our visa team will be in touch to start the visa process.
The Visa Team will send out a draft version of your CAS, along with instructions on any other documents that you’d need to provide for UKVI visa application purposes.

Once the Visa Team have checked that you have returned all requested documents and they meet the requirements, the final CAS will be released to you.
