Wow! Another set of outstanding examination results have been achieved by our Class of 2018. The college is hugely proud of their accomplishments and they reflect the hard work, the dedication and effort of the staff and the love and support of parents and guardians – all of us Achieving Success Together.
We have a strong track record of guiding our students to academic success and enabling them to successfully move onto university courses of their choice, and our excellent results reflect this.
We now extend to our new alumni our very best wishes as they go forward; the college is confident they will take with them the spirit of Abbey College Manchester and continue to fulfil their potential.
Key highlights are:
- 34% of examinations taken scored an A* or A Grade
- 61.2% of examinations taken scored an A*, A or B Grade
- 87.8% of examinations taken scored A* – C Grade
- 100% pass rate
Our students have gained entry to a wide range of competitive university courses including Medical, Biological, Physical and Computer Sciences, Engineering and Maths, Humanities, Economics, Accounting and Business and Art & Design.

International Foundation Programme (IFP) Results
Key highlights are:
- An overall average score of 68% achieved across all pathways
- All pathways had an average score of over 65%
- 88% of students have gained places at their first choice university

An excellent set of GCSE results have been gained this year which are above the national average.
Like last year, the GCSE results achieved by our students have been very good and are testament to all the hard work the teachers and students have put in over the last year.
Abbey College Manchester is delighted to announce that 20% of all examinations taken were graded at 9-8; 32% at 9-7; 57% at 9-6 and 85% at 9-4.
Some of our students will be continuing onto our Lower Sixth A-Level programme. We wish them all every success in the next two years with us.
