“I have enjoyed the ability to continue to play football and study at high level; it has not been easy to combine them. However, the programme here has allowed me to do so and thanks to college I received offers from some good universities.

A new experience in my life was to live in a different city without my parents. And I have found Manchester to be the perfect place for students as you have a lot of fun, despite the city not being that big. I lived with a host family and they made sure that I always felt comfortable and they were very supportive throughout my stay.

I have enjoyed living in the area, as it wasn’t far from college and had several parks and Halal shops close by. While there I developed the skill of being responsible for everything I do and the skill of adapting to the different situations.”
