✨ Engineering Enrichment Challenge! ✨
Yesterday our aspiring engineers put their creativity and problem‑solving skills to the test by designing paper parachutes that would make a ball bearing fall as slowly as possible. ⏳🪂
Before building, students researched how shape, material, and surface area affect air resistance. They then constructed their prototypes and tested their designs—making adjustments along the way like real engineers!
This enrichment activity helped students develop:
🔧 STEM skills – experimentation, engineering design, and scientific reasoning
🧠 Critical thinking – analysing results and improving their ideas
🤝 Teamwork & communication – sharing ideas and collaborating under time pressure
💡 Creativity – turning simple materials into effective solutions
