Abbey College Manchester Charity Festive Evening

Talented Abbey College Manchester students took to the stage to dazzle the audience with an array of fantastic performance in the college’s annual Christmas show, in aid of the charity Typhoon Haiyan Crisis Appeal for the Philippines.

From fashion stars to singers, and dancers to musicians and poets, the students put on a show to remember. The event raised almost £600, which was a brilliant effort.

And the students were not the only ones to take to the stage with a performance from the staff singing group, Abbey Singers, who belted out several Christmas carols.

Liz Elam, Principal of the college, summed it up by saying: “This annual festive celebration of our students’ amazing artistic talents has become a firm favourite in the college calendar and the standard was so high. We are delighted to celebrate the cosmopolitan nature of our college with such an impressive display and it certainly strengthens our college community. The show was a massive success and our packed audience was well and truly entertained”.
