Charity Festive Evening

Abbey College Manchester Charity Festive Evening

Talented Abbey College Manchester students took to the stage to dazzle the sell-out audience with an array of fantastic performances in the college’s annual charity Christmas show, in aid of Wateraid.

Comprising singing, musicians, dancing, readings and poetry the students put on a show to remember. The Charity Festive Evening raised almost £400, which was a brilliant effort. And the students were not the only ones to take to the stage with a performance from the staff singing group, Abbey Singers, who belted out several Christmas carols. There was also a surprise appearance from band Dark Star, featuring Liz Elam!

Liz summed it up by saying: “This annual festive celebration of our students’ amazing artistic talents has become a firm favourite in the college calendar and the standard was so high. We are delighted to celebrate the cosmopolitan nature of our college with such an impressive display and it certainly strengthens our college community. The show was a massive success and our packed audience was well and truly entertained”.
