Abbey College Manchester held a Wellbeing Week at the end of the Spring Term. The focus was on diet, sleep, exercise, meditation, relaxation and preparing the mind and body for examinations. Thirty students from a cross section of year groups completed Tai Chi taster sessions, which enabled them to exercise, relax and have fun at the same time. Samples of healthy food were prepared during the breaks and lunchtime and breakfast club provided extras, such as hot cross buns as a pre-Easter treat. The students completed a variety of wellbeing themed tutorial activities, focusing on food diaries, the “eat well plate” and work life balance. Live music was performed by students during Upper Sixth assembly and Mozart was played during study sessions.
