Great Abbey Bake Off

Students from our International Foundation Programme and new Combined Studies Programme organised Abbey College Manchester’s annual Great Abbey Bake Off on Monday 11th December. The Bake Off is a key component of the Key Skills unit of their programme. With all proceeds going to Cornerstone, a charity that provides care and support services for adults, children and young people with disabilities and other support needs, staff and students paid £1 per slice for delights such as battenberg and vanilla cake.
Congratulations to James Mackintosh, Year 13, for his winning entry, a red velvet cake and thank you to Jayne Hayes for helping the students organise such a great event. The group raised £85 for Cornerstone.
