Professional Development at Manchester Metropolitan University

One of our Business teachers, Simon Patiniott, attended a day-long course entitled ‘Subject-focused professional development’. This was aimed at teachers, trainees and mentors and was held at Manchester Metropolitan University’s School of Education.

The training was delivered by Giles Bowmer, AQA Head of Curriculum Business and Economics. He gave an insight into the assessment process for GCE Advanced Economics and Business Studies and an analysis of AQA results with exemplars provided. Simon found the course to be very informative and took away several ideas that he can pass on to colleagues and integrate into his teaching to help students even more.
