Doing the Business for Charity

18th July 18

Abbey College Manchester Business and Economics Students

Our Business and Economic students raised an impressive £1,079 for a children’s charity during a challenging academic task.

Embracing the event wholeheartedly, students were sponsored to participate in a demanding ‘definition and diagram test’ in a bid to raise much-needed funds for a project at the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital. This project provides specialist chairs for children and babies with complex needs at the hospital, helping them to move around and play rather than being confined to a bed.

The determined students spent time learning a series of complex definitions and diagrams from the world of business and economics, before writing them down and drawing under examination conditions in the sponsored task.

A representative from the hospital was recently welcomed into the college to receive the cheque and give a short presentation about the hospital and its important work.

The college is very proud of the Business and Economics students for their determination and ambition when raising money for this worthy cause.
