Small class sizes and high standards of teaching produce consistently good academic results.

The college offers a unique and highly successful one year GCSE programme for students who wish to transfer mid GCSE into year 11. Students are able to take up to 6 subjects and the course is delivered in its entirety in a year. It is expected that under normal circumstances students will be aged 16 or under on 1st September of the year or proposed study.

Students have a base room and a dedicated and experienced Head of Year to oversee the successful completion of the course. Students of statutory school age have timetabled Personal, Social and Health Education (PSHE) and sports.

For some international students whose English skills are judged to be not quite at the level required to undertake the One Year GCSE Programme, Two Year and Two-and-a-
Half Year options are both currently available. These are undertaken at a slower pace to the traditional One Year Programme.

On completing their GCSEs many students are invited to join our two year A Level programmes.
