In the same competition, student Oliver R was awarded second place in the Key Stage 3-5 Short Film category with his production ‘Scarf in the Woods’.
Similarly, impressive outcomes are being celebrated for Abbey College Manchester in the ISA Digital Art Competition 2025 for Photo Collage & Digital Manipulation. In the Key Stage 4-5 Photomanipulation category, talented Ollie G was awarded first prize and Wiktoria I’s creativity shone through once again as she was awarded second place in this competition.
Claire Rigby, Head of Creative Arts, commented: “We are so delighted that once again our students’ work has been recognised by the ISA Arts Competition. Their success in both Digital Manipulation and Film and Animation is evidence of the range of approaches the students are encouraged to explore in the department. We are so proud of their achievement and congratulate them all.”
Chris Randell, Principal, added: “We are immensely proud of what our incredibly gifted students have achieved. Both competitions operated nationally, and were fiercely competitive, featuring the very best in creative digital arts talent from leading schools UK-wide.
“At the college we have made exceptional provision for the arts, embracing new media and the very latest in technology to enable our multi-media students to fulfil their ambitions in achieving the very best outcomes. From the onset we encourage our students to explore and develop their own personal and structured approach, creating work in film, photography, animation and installation”.
