The annual Abbey College Manchester Art and Photography trip this year took in the wonderful city of Valencia. Students visited the Silk Exchange, the Cathedral that houses the Holy Grail, the Fine Arts Museum and the Institute of Modern Art.
Students and staff showcased an outstanding array of talent at the annual Abbey College Manchester Winter Concert in aid of a local charity. Gifted performers took the stage at the Unitarian Chapel on Cross Street, in a bid to raise much-needed funds for Mustard Tree.

The college and Teesside University have been working together on a new University Skills Module for sixth form students. The unique pilot project involved 13 students whose chosen topic was about designing, building, financing and marketing a wind turbine to be built at a local farm near Middlesbrough.

This year the students have chosen their own projects for engineering enrichment. This has allowed students to gear their activities towards their chosen career interests. Two projects were completed just before Christmas that tested different skills in engineering.
